Forrest Mims provided this image (and others) in response to a request by Swtpc6800 in July 2009.

Attached is a 300 ppi scan from page 104 of "Getting Started in Electronics" (Radio Shack, 1983). This circuit is almost identical to the light flasher used in my model rocket experiments in Albuquerque that led to the first Model Rocketry article.
