Nederlands: Landgoed Elswout, even ten zuiden van Overveen (tussen Haarlem en Aerdenhout), dateert uit de 17e eeuw. Aanvankelijk was het landgoed aangelegd in een strakke Franse stijl. In de 18e eeuw werd Elswout ingericht volgens de nieuwste mode: de romantische Engelse landschapsstijl. De architecten Jacob van Campen en Muskens hebben er hun sporen nagelaten. Te gast waren mensen als Napoleon en keizerin Sissi. Elswout is een Rijksmonument.
