Purpose of use

Historically important photograph supplies information about initial broadcast of important verse play; additionally illustrates how 1930s live broadcasts were laid out. The photograph is described in detail in the article, since it was a rare occurrence for a play to be broadcast from a non-studio space, particularly one so vast as this (the Armory) and with a huge cast (involving over 200 cast members). The low resolution and small size (of what is apparently a wide-angle view) of the scene should not detract from market value since most of the information is too small to be seen.
