English: Fahan: Famine Cottage Newly restored, insofar as such buildings can be, with a new thatch roof, the cottage contains details of the history of the occupants during the Famine Years between 1845 and 1853 and later, plus contemporary artefacts. It can be found on the north side of the R559 road a few metres west of the car park for the Dunbeg Fort. There is also an animal park at the site.
