Summary

Description A rocket-armed Grumman F9F-2 Panther of Naval Reserve fighter squadron VF-831, Carrier Air Group 15 (CVG-15), aboard the U.S. aircraft carrier USS Antietam (CV-36), which was deployed to Korea from 8 September 1951 to 2 May 1952. VF-831 would be redesignated VF-153 (1952) and VA-153 (1956) Blue Tail Flies and would see extensive action during the Vietnam War. It was finally disestablished in 1977.
