Description
English: Du Bois-Reymond's experimental apparatus to observe the "negative variation" in resting current, or action potential. A frog calf muscle rests across two pads of blotting paper soaking in saline and attached to a galvanometer (not shown). Faradic shocks flow down wires attached to electrodes that stimulate the frog nerve.
