English: This image shows all the Dutch political parties that got any seats in elections for the Second Chamber since 1888. Every horizontal line is one election. Dotted lines stands for unorganised political development but with seats in parliament; extra-spaced dotted lines stands for political development without seats. Only a handful of seat-holders have been excluded from this graph, due to being single-person parties that only existed for a single election. The horizontal axis generally denotes degree of liberalism, but in the early elections this distinction was a lot less meaningful than it is today. The colours are taken from party logos where possible, and guessed otherwise. The names are all endonymic (Dutch).
Nederlands: Deze grafiek toont alle Nederlandse politieke partijen die zetels behaalden in Tweede Kamerverkiezingen sinds 1888. Elke horizontale lijn staat voor een verkiezing. Gestippelde lijnen geven aan dat de betreffende partij of beweging niet georganiseerd was (maar wel zetels had), en stippels met veel afstand betekent dat die partij politiek wel bestond maar zonder zetels.
Bijna elke zetelhouder uit de geschiedenis sinds 1888 is hier opgenomen: enkele lijsten (voornamelijk eenmansfracties) zijn de uitzondering. Zij waren dan ook nooit meer dan eenmaal in de kamer. De horizontale as geeft aan hoe liberaal de partijen waren, maar moet met een korreltje zout genomen worden. In de vroegste verkiezingen op deze kaart was dat verschil minder belangrijk in de politiek. De kleuren komen van de partijlogo's waar mogelijk, en zijn anders mijn eigen invulling. De namen zijn allen in het Nederlands. |
