  • No direct attribution is given for the sketch, though an ill-defined signature can be seen over the shoulder on the right-hand side of the image.
  • Cricket: A Weekly Record of the Game provides an attribution for the original photograph, to "W. Morley of 27, East Street, Taunton". Mr Morley was deceased by 1928, when an obituary for his daughter was published in the Taunton Courier. ( (3 January 1928). "Taunton News". 'The Courier': 4. "She was the youngest daughter of the late William Morley, a former organist and choirmaster of St George's, who for many years carried on a business as a photographer in East-street."
