Summary

Description
English: St Peter's Church, Forncett St Peter, Norfolk. The top of the alabaster tomb of Thomas and Elizabeth Drake dated to 1485. The figures are incised and traces of neillo (a black filling material) remain, thought to be the only example of neillo used in this way in Norfolk. They are shown half length: he wears an ermine robe, she a kennel headdress, gown, belt and gloves. The heads of both rest on tasselled pillows. There is some damage to both faces.
