Originally extracted from The Institute of Heraldry and updated to reflect current documentation (such as AR670-1 and A Short History of the Distinguished Shooter Program) on the appearance of the badge. Specifically the center target was enlarged to reflect an "enameled rifle target" vise the pistol target that is depicted in the TIOH drawing.
