English: Russian Federation, Ministry of Emergency Situations Medal For Distinction in an Emergency Situation. Instituted on 18 July 2005. Awarded to soldiers of the civil defence forces, the military or the State Fire Service, employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, for distinction, courage and dedication in carrying out assigned tasks in an emergency situation involving a risk to life; for ability, initiative and determination that contributed to the successful implementation of disaster management; for successfully leading the actions of subordinates in carrying out tasks in an emergency situation.
