English: Detrola Model 579 (1946) radio. Detrola was mainly an OEM manufacturer for other brands[1], e.g. model 579 was sold under Skelco and Cleartone names[2]. Model 579, a transformerless 6-tube AM radio, was designed by Alexander Girard and manufactured by Detrola Corporation in Detroit, Michigan. Plywood. On display at SFO Museum "On The Radio" exhibition in 2018.
