Description Lot-9435-6: Correcting Aim of America’s Big Guns. Shown is a deflection board that American Coast Defense officers use to correct the aim of the large 16-inch railroad guns against drift and winds. Each gun regiment has a weather observing detail that uses balloons to measure winds. This operation is in the plotting car, removed the gun. The information is phoned direct to the gunners.
