The portion of the quadrangle closer to the viewer is Crothers Hall; the portion farther from the viewer is Crothers Memorial Hall. Funding to build these student residences was donated by Stanford alumnus George E. Crothers. Crothers Hall was named for George Crothers, while Crothers Memorial Hall was named in memory of his mother, Margaret Jane Crothers. |
