English: Shipyard owner William Crichton's former residence, located by the Aura river, address Itäinen Rantakatu 56, Turku, Finland (August 2015, paint being stripped off the facade on the right). The house was built in 1847 for the contemporary factory owners D. Cowie and A. T. Eriksson. Crichton became owner of the company in 1862 and he lived in the house until his death 1889. His family moved out in 1890, after which the building served partly as a shipyard office.
