Summary

Description
English: During the Vietnam War, RAN Daring class destroyer HMAS Duchess (D154) has been serving as an escort to troop transports. On a voyage to join the Commonwealth Strategic Reserve, unidentified crew members are participating in F1sub machine gun firing practice. The men are firing at moving targets in the water, as training for guarding against underwater swimmers, principally in Vung Tau. The training officer (position not identified), is Gunnery Officer Lieutenant Rodney Trevor Nott, of Revesby Heights, NSW. The ship is making its way to Singapore.
