Summary

Description
English: The leftmost image shows the entire corm in its tunic. The second shows the tunic partly peeled off to show the leaf bases comprising the tunic and the lines where the sessile leaves sprouted from the corm cortex, showing the nodes that demonstrate that the corm body is a stem with nodes and buds. The third has been vertically sectioned to show the central medulla and the base from which a new top has sprouted.
