English: Cassidy's pub and restaurant, Carran, Co. Clare One of the oldest Pub and Restaurants owned conteniously by the same family. It was established in 1797 as a shibeen an then licenced in 1830. the original premesis was accross the street and the business was moved to this building in 1956.This building was the R.I.C barracks and later the Garda barracks which became vacant in 1955 when the gardai left the area.
Today this Pub and Restaurant is well known for great food and traditional music sessions and is a popular venue for weddings. .
