DescriptionBurnet Moth and Knapweed, Pentwyn Farm, Penallt.jpg
A Six Spot Burnet resting on a Knapweed flower. The moths were not attracted by the many orchids nearby.
Flowers seen in meadows at Pentyn Farm, Penallt, near Monmouth. The site is administered by the Gwent Wildlife Trust. The site was opened as one of several for the Wye Valley Meadows 'open weekend' in 2007. Unfortunately this event appears not to have happened since that date. If anyone knows why please contact me.
