For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Volker Hadwich ADN-ZB Koard -22.7.89 Neubrandenburg: 40. DDR-Leichtathletik-Meisterschaften- Mit einem Spitzenresultat endete der Speerwurf. Der 24jährige Magdeburger Volker Hadwich steigerte sich im zweiten Durchgang auf 84,06 m und verfehlte den DDR-Rekord nur um acht Zentimeter.
