English: 1. Photograph of the Beypore Railway Station at Chaliyam, Malabar from the 'Bellew Collection: Photograph album of Surgeon-General Henry Walter Bellew' taken by an unknown photographer in the 1860s. Chaliyam, a few miles south of Calicut on the Kerala coast, was for a period the terminus of the Madras Railway on the west coast. This view shows a two-storeyed brick verandahed building with the roofs of the railway platforms visible in background.
This image falls into the public domain as it was taken in India prior to 1 January 1951, and was not published in India after that date. It is in public domain in the United States as well as it was taken prior to 1 January 1951.
