English: This profile was photographed in Ponce District, Puerto Rico. This soil is formed in colluvium and residuum weathered from soft limestone bedrock on a 10 percent slope. The profile has a 30 cm mollic epipedon over a calcic (Bk) horizon at a depth of 35 to 70 cm. The calcic horizon is enriched in carbonate but the parent material C horizon below 70 cm is also calcareous. The natural grassland vegetation is pastured
