Published in Pierce Egan's Puglistica New Series of Boxiana, Volumes IV and V, in 1838, also mentioned in London as a lithograph, in London Quarterly Review, published in 1828. From London Review concerning the contents of Boxiana, "with striking likenesses of the Pet of the Fancy, John Bull Fighter Tom Belcher, Aby Belasco..."

(Artist of this engraving was W. R. Cooper, R. (Robert) Cooper died over 100 years ago. Sharples, the artist died in 1849, also over 100 years since his death. Also 200 years since the publication of this engraving in the volume Boxiana by Pierce Egan in 1818
