Farthing series

The Farthing series, called by its publisher the Small Change series, is a group of three alternate history novels produced by author Jo Walton from 2006 to 2008. The books feature Inspector Carmichael of the "Watch", and are set in a Europe where Great Britain left World War II before (and forestalling) the United States' entry into the war; as the series begins, Britain is itself sliding toward fascism.
