Emirau Airport is an airfield in Emirau Island, Papua New Guinea.[1]
History
During the Second World War, a bomber and fighter airfield was constructed by the United States Navy Seabees after the landing on Emirau in March 1944. The airfield was used by units of the United States Navy, United States Marine Corps and Royal New Zealand Air Force.
