On Jun 14, 2018 Thursday morning, cargo vessel MV SSL Kolkata in the Bay of Bengal collapsed near Sandhate near Haldia port. Jun 14, the ship was released from the port of Kolkata. Then the fire came after 60 nautical miles away from Haldia Port. The strong wind, the fire spread quickly. News of Haldia port the ship was passing through from Andhra Pradesh to Indranesia via Kolkata. About 70 percent of the ship has been burnt. The ship had 464 containers. In its most kantenare caught fire. After the blast, a fire broke out on the ship. It is initially believed that the air-conditioned equipment in the vessel is set on fire.

But 22 crew members of the crash ship were rescued. They have been brought to Haldia port. [1]

Container ships MV SSL Kolkata, left for Krishnapatnam Port from Andhra Pradesh to Haldia port on Wednesday. When the ship reached Sandheads near the port of Haldia on Thursday, the ship exploded in the middle of the sea. After that the fire is gone. In some way the captain of the ships send signal to the coastal forces.
