Disney Channel Africa is a 24-hour family entertainment channel available in Sub-Saharan Africa since September 25, 2006. It currently has two sister channels; Disney XD(channel 304) and Disney Junior(channel 309), though a Disney Junior block runs from 06:45 GMT/08:45 CAT,every weekday morning. It adapted the logos used by Disney Channel UK since it launched until late 2011 when it adapted the current 'smartphone logo' used by Disney Channel USA.

Films normally air Fridays at 15:00 GMT/17:00 CAT, weekend mornings at 09:15 GMT/11:15 CAT, evenings at 15:00 GMT/17:00 CAT and repeats of the morning movie at 16:45 GMT/18:45 CAT. During holidays, films air every day at 15:00 GMT/17:00 CAT. Some films air on both Disney XD and Disney Channel like Lemonade Mouth and The Suite Life Movie but others only air on Disney XD although they are Disney Channel Original Movies.

Disney XD launched on May 12th 2011 for the first time on DStv. It opens every day at 04:00 GMT/06:00 CAT and closes at 20:45 GMT/22:45CAT every day. Most Of its series are Disney XD series but some aired series are from Disney Channel. It also airs movies,most of which are Disney Channel Original.

Disney Junior is a channel focused on younger viewers aged 2-6 years. It launched in 1st June 2011 as its own channel(channel 309)from Playhouse Disney, however a Disney Junior block is shown weekday mornings on Disney Channel Africa.
