D-Nice (born Derrick Jones; June 19, 1970) is the stage name of discjockey, beatboxer, rapper, producer and photographer who began his career in the mid-1980s with the hip hop group Boogie Down Productions.[1] He discovered Kid Rock in 1988, landing him a deal with Jive Records.
Career
D-Nice currently works as an in-demand DJ as well as a photographer. He shot the album covers for a couple of recent albums, such as Carl Thomas' 2007 album So Much Better as well as Pharoahe Monch's 2011 album W.A.R. (We Are Renegades).
Personal life
He has one daughter Ashli Jones [2] with his ex-girlfriend.
In August 2008 he married actress Malinda Williams. In October 2009 the couple separated. In February 2010 the couple filed for divorce.[3] The divorce was finalized on June 14, 2010.
