Coonoor taluk

Coonoor taluk is a taluk of Nilgiris district of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The headquarters of the taluk is the town of Coonoor

Population

According to the 2001 census, the taluk of Coonoor had a population of 175,067 with 87,353 males and 87,714 females. There were 1004 women for every 1000 men. The taluk had a literacy rate of 85.14. The total number of households was 43,379.
