The Cocomes or Cocom were a late Postclassic Maya family or dynasty founded by Hunac Ceel who controlled the Yucatán Peninsula late Postclassic period. Their capital was at Mayapan. They were overthrown sometime between 1440 and 1441 by Ah Xupan of the Xiu lineage.[1]
