Qualifications edit

Before adding article to this category, ensure that the biography meets this criteria.

  1. The artist must have a significant portion of their discography containing works of the synthpop genre. This does not directly include works inspired by the genre.
    1. What is considered significant is up to editor discretion. Typically, it would need to be somewhere above or at 50% of currently published works. For example, if the artist has released four albums, at least two would need to heavily incorporate elements of the genre. In certain scenarios, artists may not have a large enough discography to adequately judge. In the case that the artist only has one album or has not yet released an album, judge qualifications based on the number of singles in the genre.
  2. The article must outline that the article performs works in the genre, backed up by verifiable and reliable sources, as is standard for biographies.

Just the opinion of one editor. Most of the articles in this category were added by me and were added based on the above criteria. --Thevampireashlee (talk) 22:19, 7 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
