Remove county parent categories edit

Hey there! I have removed several parent categories from this category, namely all the "People from XXX county" categories and the list at the top indicating the counties, the Memphis Metro area consists of. Let me tell you the reason for the madness. I noticed that it might not make too much sense when I checked out the Category:Tipton County, Tennessee. There you have (or rather had) the subcat Category:People from Tipton County, Tennessee with a subcat Category:People from Memphis, Tennessee. I think that if someone is interested in the people from Tipton County they might not care too much about people from Memphis.

What I am going to do is the following: I will create a cat Category:People from the Memphis metropolitan area as a subcat of Category:Memphis metropolitan area and put all the "People from a county in the metro area" cat in there. That looks to me like the better structure that makes the most sense to me, and hopefully to the readers, too.

Take care, doxTxob \ talk 01:00, 14 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
