Category:United States Army Major Commands

Based on a recommendation from the Army Campaign Plan, the Army has changed its major command structure to reflect a more effective and efficient command and control structure for supporting the modular force.

With this change, the term “MACOM” (major Army command) will no longer be used. The Army now has three types of major commands: Army command (ACOM), Army service component command (ASCC), and direct reporting unit ( DRU).
