The Canterbury representative rugby union team, generally referred to as Canterbury, are the top team under the Canterbury Rugby Football Union in New Zealand. They compete in the ITM Cup, formerly the Air New Zealand Cup.
Canterbury have had a long history and tradition in New Zealand rugby, they have won the top domestic competition a total of eight times and have made it to the play offs in every Air New Zealand/ITM Cup season.
