California's 41st congressional district is a congressional district in the U.S. state of California that from 2003 to 2013 was based in San Bernardino County. The district encompassed the eastern region of the Greater Los Angeles Area known as the Inland Empire. It was anchored in Redlands, part of the San Bernardino metropolitan area, and included the cities of Loma Linda, Yucaipa, Victorville, Barstow, Highland and sections of San Bernardino.
The district is currently represented by Democrat Mark Takano and now includes Moreno Valley, Perris, and Riverside.
Historic boundaries
San Diego's 41st
In the 1980s, the 41st Congressional District was one of four that divided San Diego. The northern San Diego County district had been held for 12 years by Republican Bill Lowery and was considered the most Republican district in the San Diego area. The 41st District was renumbered as California's 51st Congressional District after the 1990 U.S. Census in which it became the Inland Empire's 41st.
