"Broken City" is a DC Comics storyline that appeared in Batman #620-625, written by Brian Azzarello and illustrated by Eduardo Risso. It features the characters Batman, Killer Croc, The Penguin and the Ventriloquist.
Storyline
Batman investigates the murder of Elizabeth Lupo, believed to have been killed by Killer Croc. Batman deduces that Lupo's brother Angel was the murderer by interrogating various suspects, such as Margo Farr (Angel Lupo's lover), the Penguin and the Ventriloquist, with help from Gotham City detective Crispus Allen. At last Batman learns that Angel was innocent, Elizabeth Lupo's young son being responsible. All this time the Joker has been monitoring Batman's movements.
Following this story in the Batman comic book series are the events of "As the Crow Flies".
