The Big Sandy Heritage Center is a museum located in Pikeville, Kentucky that portrays the history and culture of Eastern Kentucky. The museum is housed in Pikeville's historic railroad station.
The museum portrays the people, places, and events that makes the area unique. Exhibits include the American Civil War, Hatfield-McCoy feud, Eastern Kentucky railways, and coal mining.[1]
It is open Monday-Friday (10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.), nights and weekends by appointment only. Admission is $3.00 for adults and $2.00 for children and seniors.[2]
