Battle of Lagganmore
The Battle of Lagganmore took place in 1646 in Lagganmore, in Glen Euchar, west of Loch Scammadale. It was part of the 17th century Scottish Civil War that also incorporated a long running feud between the Clan MacDonald and the Clan Campbell.
The royalist forces of Alasdair MacDonald, who were supported by the Clan MacDougall and Clan MacAulay defeated the covenanter forces of the Campbells who were supported by the Clan Malcolm.
