The Battle of Lagganmore took place in 1646 in Lagganmore, in Glen Euchar, west of Loch Scammadale. It was part of the 17th century Scottish Civil War that also incorporated a long running feud between the Clan MacDonald and the Clan Campbell.[1]
The royalist forces of Alasdair MacDonald, who were supported by the Clan MacDougall and Clan MacAulay defeated the covenanter forces of the Campbells who were supported by the Clan Malcolm.[1]
