August Förster (physician)

August Förster (1822-1865) was a German anatomist.

Biography

He was born at Weimar, and educated at the University of Jena. He subsequently held professorships at the University of Göttingen (1852-1856) and the University of Würzburg (1856-1865), where his investigations on pathological histology and teratology were widely noted.
