Amberswood railway station

Amberswood (Hindley) railway station was a railway station in Hindley, now in Greater Manchester, on the Whelley Loop section of the Lancashire Union Railway. Like the preceding station on the line at Whelley, Amberswood was open for two months from the beginning of 1872 to March of the same year. After the station this section of the Whelley Loop split to join back up with the LUR before Bryn as well as splitting East to join the North Union Railway before Platt Bridge and head towards Warrington Bank Quay.[1]
