Alexander Radkin Zhukov

Alexander Radkin Zhukov is a prominent Russian oligarch based in London with homes in Sardinia and London. He is the founder of the now defunct oil company Sintez UK. As a Russian Orthodox Christian, he gives generously to the Russian Orthodox Church.[1] He divorced from his first wife Elena Zhukova, a molecular biologist. Before divorcing he changed his surname to that of his ex wife's. They have one daughter, Darya Zhukova.

In 1991 Sintez UK, and along with Leon Leibman, were involved in a major arms scandal. This relates to a massive shipment of arms including 30 AK47 rifles, 20 guided missiles, 15 anti-tank missiles and 50.000 rounds of ammunition which were seized on a ship, the Jadran Express. Sintez UK was accused by Italian police of being involved in illegal arms deals to the Balkans, with "Zhukov" and Leonid Meihman being key players. Alex "Zhukov" was arrested in 1991 by Italian police for arms trafficking and spent 6 months in an Italian jail before being cleared of charges.
