Alentejo Central Subregion

Alentejo Central is a NUTS3 subregion of Alentejo Region, in Portugal. Alentejo Central is composed entirely of the Évora District minus the municipality of Mora, but including one municipality of the Portalegre District, Sousel.
As of 2001, the subregion had a population of 173,401 inhabitants and a total area of 7,227 km².
Cities and towns
The chief city is Évora. Other cities are Estremoz, Montemor-o-Novo, Vendas Novas and Reguengos de Monsaraz.
