      Akividu is a semi-urban place[clarification needed] in the costal Andhra Pradesh, India. Akividu is the biggest major panchayati in West Godavari District with the revenue villages of Akividu, Madiwada, Dharmapuram Agraharam. It is the mandal headquarters with 15 revenue villages. Akividu is known for its rich history and culture with ponds, temples, and mosques. Akividu is situated along the Gudiwada and Bhimavaram rail route. National Highway NH214 passes through the town.
