8787 Ignatenko (1978 TL4) is a main-belt asteroid discovered on October 4, 1978 by T. M. Smirnova at the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory. It is named for Vitali Nikitich Ignatenko (b. 1941), General Director of ITAR-TASS news agency, and also a writer of film scripts.
