Transactions
- Beginning the Commissioner's Cup, Swift acquired Vergel Meneses and Zaldy Realubit of Sta.Lucia Realtors, in a trade in which they gave up their next year's draft pick, along with Jack Tanuan and Ricric Marata.
- Swift also shipped Andy De Guzman and Vilmer Bañares to Sta.Lucia
- Signed rookie free agent Teroy Albarillo starting the Commissioner's Cup

- Ronnie Thompkins won best import honors in the Commissioner's Cup
- Vergel Meneses was voted Commissioner's Cup finals MVP in leading the Mighty Meaties to their 2nd title, the Aerial Voyager was also named the season's Most Improved Player.

Swift Mighty Meaties won the Commissioner's Cup title over rival, Purefoods Oodles, 4-2 for their 2nd PBA Crown.

Notable dates
- March 2: Nelson Asaytono scored 46 points as Swift won their first game of the season, beating Alaska Milk, 113-103.
- July 18: Rout Purefoods, 132-108, ending the six-game winning streak of the Oodles, import Ronnie Thompkins scored 34 points while Vergel Meneses added 30 points as the meaties, which raised its won-loss slate to 7-1, played in the second half without coach Yeng Guiao, who was ejected from the court.
- July 25: Beats Shell Helix, 118-117 in overtime on Terry Saldaña's last-second basket, in a game which featured a rumble, and players banished from the playing court, the ugly incident started when Shell forward Ricky Relosa hit Swift import Ronnie Thompkins in the nape during a scuffle underneath the Swift basket, a brief chase ensued, the five players ejected for their involvement in the brawl were Relosa and Mulong Orillosa of Shell, Ronnie Thompkins, Zaldy Realubit and Cadel Mosqueda of Swift.
- September 28: Tony Harris scored 74 points as Swift beats Pepsi Mega, 124-107, in their first game in the Governor's Cup.
- November 30: Tony Harris scored 56 points and banked in a turn around jumper at the buzzer, forcing the first extension at 101-all, as Swift eliminates Pepsi Mega from the finals race, 124-122 in double-overtime, in their do-or-die playoff game.
- December 3: Swift enters the Governor's Cup finals against San Miguel Beer, by beating Sta.Lucia Realtors, 130-124, Tony Harris finished with 61 points.
