1955 LPGA Championship

The 1955 LPGA Championship was played at Orchard Ridge Country Club in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This was the first edition of the LPGA Championship and was played from July 14-17.

The tournament was played in three rounds of stroke play[1] followed by one round of match play to determine the final standings.[2] The championship match was played over 36 hole while the other matches were played over 18 holes.

This championship was won by Beverly Hanson over Louise Suggs, 4 & 3.
